Rising Kinder students and their families are invited to summer playdates sponsored by the WFES PTA! As we prepare for the exciting journey into kindergarten, fostering connections is invaluable. These playdates offer a great opportunity for your child to make new friends and for you to connect with fellow parents embarking on the same path.

The Back to School Q&A is a time for families to ask questions about the start of school.  School administrators will be available to answer questions.  A Google Meet link will be sent the day of the event.  All sessions start at 5:00pm with a Spanish translation starting at 6:00pm.

Students and families can come meet their teachers for the upcoming school year.

New Student Orientation is Friday, August 21, 9:00–11:15 a.m. Buses will pick up students at feeder elementary and middle schools at 8:30 a.m.; please arrive by 8:20. Appropriate dress and behavior are expected. Buses return students to pickup sites after 11:30 a.m. for parent pickup.

All meals for students and are FREE!

Breakfast will be served, inside our Cafeteria, from 9-11 AM, from Jun 22 - July 2 and July 6 - August 21.

Lunch will be served, outside, from 12-1 PM, from June 22 - July 2 and July 6 - August 21.

Lunches will be served inside on June 29 - August 7, from 12 -1 PM.

Students, families and staff come together to reconnect, make new friends, and start the year with excitement!

Because parking will be limited due to construction, Open House will take place according to the following staggered schedule:

12–1 p.m.: A–G

Our annual Meet the Teacher / Open House event

Join us for a brief overview of all things Cherry Run in the Cafeteria prior to Open House (enter through door 2 - cafeteria entrance)

Families new to Lemon Road are invited to join us in the cafeteria for an orientation session and guided tour.  This information will be similar to what was shared at Kindergarten Orientation in the spring. Kindergarten families may join!

Meet your teachers and visit the school before your first week of school! 

Open House will be on August 21st from 1:00 PM-2:30PM. 

Grades K-6, PAC: Please arrive at 1:00 PM. The session will run from 1:00-2:30PM.

Our in-person Open House opportunity will help our families prepare for the new year and learn more about their child's classroom teacher. Students will be provided with an opportunity to see their classrooms, drop-off supplies and begin developing positive relationships as a classroom community. 

Families of students with IEPs and 504s are invited to join us in the Library to meet their case managers and our Special Education Department Chair/504 Coordinator.

This event is designed to allow families to meet their child's teacher and explore the classroom. 

Please bring your child's supplies to Open House or send them on the first day of school.  Many families purchase these supplies through Campus Survival. You can also view our supply lists and purchase the items.

Our Quiet Open House is designed especially for our students with special needs who would benefit from a quieter, less crowded event. This event is by invitation only; teachers and case managers will reach out directly to families. 

Rising kindergartens and their families are invited to the CRES playground for a fun time of getting to know each other.

Kindergarten students are invited to come to the Halley playground to meet the kindergarten teachers and have a popsicle.

Any families REGISTERED at Daniels Run who are NEW this year may schedule a tour of the school! Please send an email to our principal, Susan Mullen, if you are interested in attending a tour.

Help us kick off the new school year with our Open House on Friday, August 21 from 2 - 4 p.m.  All students and families welcome. This event will follow an Open House format with a self-guided building tour.
